Mostly, he used to kill girls maybe after one or two weeks you find a girl has been killed and also went to an extent of drinking blood of the victim .After doing all this, he used to leave behind a small note on a piece of paper that  he has been killing girls, since they are the ones who made him  get HIV/AIDs and that he is going on to kill wherever girl he will meet on his way .And from this people now started realizing that the rumors were true.

For this matter now it was getting to the third month and he had slaughtered like four pretty girls and yet the cops still were struggling to find him  and arrest him but to good luck this guy came to the broad day light and accepted  that he was guilty of what he was doing .

He was arrested and taken to prison where he has been jailed up to now . He was unfair with life, for it is not  a good idea if you have contracted such a disease and decide to revenge it on others while you can take drugs and continue living your life ,because no one is always right.

For those who have been victims of domestic violence, it is not easy to not only bear the pain, not even live a day without one questioning him/herself if things would ever get back to normal.

Since childhood  up to date, I have never uttered the word daddy, not that I cannot speak, but because I have no one to refer to as daddy. I have never imagined how it feels for one to be held in daddy’s arms.

My parents parted ways when I was a few weeks old. I was taken in by my grandparents who have always taken care of me up to now. The only day I got a chance to look at my father, is when he was in a coffin awaiting burial, it was a pity, for he could not see me, not even talk to me.

By then, I was 13 years old, almost to sit for my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examinations. Since that time, I have always been having memories imagining, if it was not for my parents divorce, I would have been lucky enough to meet my educational dreams and pursue my childhood dream of attaining a degree in law in one of the university’s.

I just don’t know what to say about the situation, when I turn around and see street urchins all along, sleeping out in the cold, have no one to turn to for their needs and most probably the basic needs and parental care which is vital as without the parents no one to tell them what is right from what is wrong.

Here in the streets, there is nothing to smile about, just begging , with crime and drug monsters waiting for people to buy. It is hard to have nowhere to lay your head while even the birds of the sky have a nest to rest on when darkness comes, nothing to eat, no money to spend, living on empty promises by strangers which never come true.

A big percentage of street urchins are affected by the same situation where you find one comes from a single parent family. Due to hardships in life one has to go an extra mile and go on hustling to fulfill personal needs and even uplift one’s family.

There is a need for the government to put across strong information concerning such issues because only women and children who are highly affected and end up suffering .

In the community where I hail from, things have always remained the same. The more the younger people expect some changes from the elders, the more they remain the same.

Being the elders in the community, we expect sense of direction, lots of advice from them, instead, they are just relaxed waiting for the sun rise and the sunset.

This trend has  made  most youths have no one to consult in important matters, hence contributing to the rise of peer pressure within the community.

As a result of this, most youths have ended up making the wrong decisions in life, making them regret later in life for not having made better decisions. This has ended up contributing to a higher percentage cases of rampant vices going on in the country each and every day.

It is a high time leaders in the government who have reached a retirement age, gave chance to the youthful leaders to help address the challenges they go through more often, for the better future of the citizens and the country at large.

Putting in mind that, the percentage of youths who are literate is almost equivalent to those who are illiterate.

More so, most of the learned youths are still unemployed, and the few lucky ones who have managed to acquire jobs, have  had to part away with money for bribery.

What about those who have no money to bribe, not even god fathers to secure them employment?

The streets, neighborhood are no longer secure, people are being robbed off their property both day and night. Youths are into drugs, girls are into prostitution in return for money.

The police are aware but they do little about it or nothing at all, since more often they are always bribed by the culprits.

What is left for the future?

She had no one to call either a brother or sister, as she was the only child.

The only thing left for the poor girl was to live with one of her relatives, who was her aunt. It did not take long, before the aunt turned cruel to her, and would beat her up ruthlessly.

She would be forced to skip  classes, as she had to do all the house chores alone. With time, she was forced to drop out of school while in form three.

It became a routine, when she would hold no more, she decided to take off to the streets, and joined other street children.

Life was not a bed of roses for her, as she had to toil harder to get something to bite.She was forced to join them in the business of prostitution, so that she could earn a few coins for buying food.

She traded in this dangerous business for 2 years, later, her health started deteriorating.

She knew she was suffering from HIV/AID’s complications and decided to commit suicide by swallowing rat poison.

It was not her wish to be a house girl but it is just that she had no one to rely on to support her financially.

Strange enough, I never got to know her name. Still, I was her neighbor at the house she had been employed as a house help.

The young lady had to take care of the house and the young boys because their parents would go to work early in the morning and be back late in the evening.

This girl had little education, as she was not lucky enough to complete her studies, this made her be prone to committing vices more often.Girls in the neighbor hood took advantage of this and ended up spoiling her, by making her join bad groups.

With time, she started smoking bhang and drinking illicit brew, she became an addict and would rarely attend to the needs of the children, this made her most of the time be at logger heads with her employer, and it never took long before she was sacked.

She had nowhere to go to, and no one to turn to, as all her friends ran away from her. She had no option and took to the streets. Still her addiction did not stop there.

One day, the police were patrolling the streets when they came across her smoking bhang. Immediately, she was arrested and jailed for 8 years, and has never been seen again.

We should always thank God for the little he has blessed us with.

The boy was called,’’ Vice,’’ and never knew anything about the difficult part of life. What he always saw was just but the good side of life. There were also things disturbing him. He wanted to identify himself with the street gangs and with time, he was a total disaster in the area.

His parents never bothered about him, since they had tried their best but there was no change in him. They saw no need of struggling more, as he was a grown up and had a life of his own.

The boy also introduced himself to hard drugs which destroyed him completely. As a result of this, he ended up stealing his parents money .He went on like this when he realized his parent’s money was not enough, he decided to steal and became a nuisance to everyone.

Vice was stubborn to be corrected. He went on like this but his chances of survival was very minimal.

He was reported to the police and for this matter he was found with illegal drugs and also charged with robbery with violence and was sentenced to serve in jail for seventeen years.

For instance you find a girl who has lost hope in life, having no one to turn to, gives in to peer pressure.

Later, she finds herself in early marriage and the marriage itself is not certified and after few days the boy she’s married to, may be a drug addict.

And for this matter they break up and the girl maybe already pregnant. This may later lead to abortion or if it is not so, she ends up living in streets, later, becomes a prostitute.

More so, many youths in my community many do not have parents, since some of them, immediately after birth, they were abandoned in the streets, while for some, their parents died as a result of being drug addicts.

Some were jailed, never to be seen again, while some died as a result of HIV/AID’s complications.

And so many of us going astray having no one to consult, has made many young boys end up doing all sorts of bad things to provide for,their basic needs.

He had no one to live with and help him grow up in a friendly environment.Noor was a boy who once had both loving parents, but life got a twist, after his father got jailed for selling illegal drugs within the neighborhood.

Immediately, after his father’s arrest, his mother started falling sick every now and then, it did not take long before he kicked the bucket of life. From then on, Noor’s behavior suddenly changed and he became more problematic.

Noor started mugging and harassing people along the streets. Many a times, he would be caught and beaten up senselessly by the mob, but the police would come running to save his life. He would be arrested and taken to police cell, but after sometimes, he would be set free. It became a routine to him, finally, it became a habit.

Little did he know that one day the mob will catch up with him and it would be the end of him. Apart from the vice of mugging people, he was a drug addict and whenever he did not have money to buy the drugs, he would steal so as to have some. One evening, he was craving for drugs so much. He took to the streets, when he saw a lady passing by; he got hold of her trying to take off with the handbag.

This time round, the mob pounced on him; beat him senselessly, till he died.
